Northland

Insta-worthy beaches, world class snorkelling spots and a subtropical climate? Look no further than Northland to experience a summer holiday no matter what the season.
Whether it’s sand-boarding down the towering dunes, hiking the Cape Brett walkway, learning more about New Zealand’s history at Waitangi or marveling at the ancient kauri trees, Northland has something for everyone.
Our favourite thing to do in the region is exploring the beautiful Bay of Islands by boat, through the iconic Hole in the Rock and relaxing amongst the islands.

Eastland

Head out on the ultimate summer roadie along the Pacific Coast Highway to the East Cape and be one of the first in the world to watch the sun rise.

You will be blown away by the endless remote beaches and hidden surf spots along the drive. Immerse yourself in the local culture, with a large number of maraes, carved churches and historical sites to discover, including Tairāwhiti Gisborne, where the first Māori waka Horouta and Takitimu first landed, along with Captain James Cook’s first landfall in NZ, and the sculptures of Māui on the  sacred Mount Hikurangi.

There are so many unique ways to enjoy the outdoors in Eastland – take a blood-pumping 60m slide down the natural Rere rockslide, experience the magic of a Great Walk at Lake Waikaremoana, or try snorkelling with the friendly stingrays in Tatapouri.

Wairarapa & Wellington

Wine not head to Wellington and the Wairarapa for a foodie’s trip with a group of mates? Get the best of both worlds combining the trendy capital city with beautiful vineyards just 90 minutes north in Martinborough. Cycle through the vineyards, enjoy a long lunch in the sun and relax in this world-renowned wine district.  Further east, take a day trip out to Castlepoint to experience the epic scenery and explore this stunning coastline.

Nothing beats the Wellington waterfront on a good day, but even if it is a little wet and windy, there are endless laneways with cafes and bars to explore, and Te Papa is a timeless experience with new exhibitions every time you visit.
